Flokati rugs are entirely made from wool, including the pile, warp, and weft. The characteristic shaggy pile is achieved by the way the wool is woven and often further enhanced by a post-weaving wash that fluffs the fibers. The natural color of a Flokati rug is often a straw or white color, as they are not treated or dyed.Â
